Photos that help a customer choose
Use daylight and a plain background, with a view that makes colour and size easy to judge, so a customer can decide before they message you.
Daylight, on something plain
Photograph near a window, on a plain cloth or a plain wall. Daylight shows colour more honestly than a yellow bulb. A busy background makes the piece harder to see on a phone.
Show what they are choosing
Take one photo of the whole piece, and one closer view of what people ask about: the colour, the print, the stitching. If the inside is a different colour, show that too. Lay it flat, or hold it so the size is easy to judge.
The same setup for the range
Use the same light and the same background for products a customer will compare. Two colours of the same piece should not look like they were photographed in two different rooms.
